Before Flight 828

Cal and his twin sister are born on March 22, 2002, to Ben and Grace. Sometime in 2011, Cal is diagnosed with leukemia and does not respond to treatment. His parents attempt every treatment available at the time, however, it is unsuccessful. They go to Jamaica for a final vacation. At the end of the vacation, due to overbooking, the family has to choose who will go on Flight 828, and Cal volunteers to spend time with his dad.

After Flight 828

Cal returns after being missing for five years. Initially, no one believes that it was possible that Cal hasn't aged a day. However, a new treatment for leukemia was developed during those five years based on the research from another passenger, Saanvi Bahl, and it starts to bring him into remission. "Pilot"

Several weeks later Cal develops a psychic link to a missing passenger named Marko Valeriev. This is exhibited by symptoms similar to an illness, speaking Bulgarian and seizures. As Ben works to fix him he discovers that an off the books agency is conducting human testing on Marko and ten other passengers via electric shock, and other measures. "Off Radar"
