The Callings are an ability caused by Dark Lightning.

Etymology[]

Callings is the term coined by Kelly and Patrick Taylor and most often used by Ben and Michaela Stone. Describe to 828 passengers with similar events called by a voice, feeling, vision, or another source to do something, sometimes accompanied by hallucinations, headaches, or sickness.

In the “Pilot” Mick goes to church, where she sees “God cause all to work together for good to choose who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” This is the first clue that the callings come from the divine.

Description[]

What[]

Callings are often vague and are usually misinterpreted the first time around. They are used to help people but following them is dangerous, sometimes leading to death (ex: Kelly Taylor and Harvey Stein).

Who[]

People who came back to life have callings, but there is also exception. When Grace becomes pregnant with Eden, she starts receiving callings, but stop after giving birth. Eden is connected to 828, but she doesn't get callings the same way the rest of the passengers.

How[]

To all the people who have callings they share a Divine Consciousness. The Callings are memories from the Divine Consciousness, the Glow. Whenever someone goes into the Glow they know everything that will happen; but forget when they leave. The subconscious tells them to carry out what they used to remember. The pain they feel, and the consequences are entirely self-inflicted, as it goes against their consciences. Some passengers are more sensitive than the others like Cal and Marco.[1]

Not all Callings are from the Glow. Angelina used her omega sapphire to create false Calling on to passengers. Angelina and Cal can enter a Calling, but they are not in the Glow (just in an astral plane that looks like Flight 828). Cal uses his sapphire to enter a Callings to see Callings, memories from the Glow from the other passengers. Callings are the result divine intervention, which includes the omega sapphire.

Why[]

In Al-Zuras journal “there is no way to get rid of the voice. The only way to survive way to survive is to accept. All other paths lead to disaster.” Meaning following the Callings is the way to survive the Death Date.

ULF[]

Saanvi listen 828 black box (a flight data recorder,) that has returned, after the entire plane disappeared. [2]The record was change having Daly screaming for help when he disappeared in the plane at Eureka with the original record. Every time Saanvi plays it, there's ultra low frequency. ULF are electromagnets waves that the human ear can’t hear and are emitted by earthquakes. The black box recorded all the Callings, until Daly reappeared, in a 6.2-second segment of ULF. [3] The 6.2-second recorded affects Cal scar. [4]

ULF is used by peacocks and few other animals to communicate, and so are the passengers. ULF is a sort of God frequency. When brain scaning on Cal, his memory center lit up right when he had a the Calling. Remembering something when he was in the Glow, divine consciousness. Learning that the Callings are memories. [5]

Theories[]

Theory #1[]

It was speculates that the callings have evil intentions, and that the passengers are told to do good deeds to trust the callings. Evidence for this that Grace's water broke after she tripped because of a calling, almost killing her and Eden. [6]The callings are a part of the judgment. Judging your actions and fate in the toughest decisions. Plus bad things happen.

Theory #2[]

In "Point of No Return" Harvey Stein told people about his callings and they died after. However many people were told about the callings from the passengers themselves and others find out. It could be as, misuse of the sapphire can led to tremors, the over tellings of the Calling can led to the receiver's death. But the messenger has to be a passenger telling them willingly.

List of People to Experience[]

It can be assumed that every passenger, with the exception of Fiona Clarke, has received callings.

List of Callings[]

Ep Experiencer Prophecy/Vision Outcome
1 Michaela Stone Her voice saying "All things" She looks to the bible verse Romans 8:28, which is sewn into a pillow her mother made.
1 Michaela Stone Her voice saying "Slower" The bus Michaela is on slows down and stops before it could hit a little boy.
1 Michaela Stone and Ben Stone Their voices saying "Set them free" Misinterpretation: Set two dogs on a random property free.

Real meaning and outcome: Two little kidnapped girls were found on the property later and were freed by Michaela.

1 Michaela Stone, Ben Stone, Saanvi Bahl, Bethany Collins, Bill Daly, Radd Campbell, Adrian, Harvey Stein, Kelly Taylor and eleven others. Urges to go too the plane or brief visions of the plane Not definite, but the plane mysteriously exploded once all of the passengers arrived there.
2 Ben Stone and Radd Campbell Music plays that only they can hear First time: Leads Ben to Radd, who asks him for help.

Second time: Leads Ben to the real culprit of a jewelry store robbery.

3 Michaela Stone Possible calling: Feeling to spell out "Own Your Truth" while playing a game with Cal Stone Helps her and Ben find out that Kelly Taylor heard "Own Your Truth" but misinterpreted the meaning of what she was supposed to do.
4 Michaela Stone and Saanvi Bahl Saanvi: Sees a gray woman with watery footprints.

Michaela: A gray woman/Angel keeps whispering "Save him" to her.

Saanvi does not do anything except go to Ben about it.

Michaela misinterprets the calling and screws up an undercover police operation.

Real outcome: When they put the callings "together", they find out they have to go to a place to find Bethany Collins' cousin's boyfriend Thomas Reid, whom she helped escape from Jamaica.

7 Cal Stone and Michaela Stone Cal: Draws a picture of a boy (Carlos) on a bench with a red heart on his chest

Michaela: Hears a heartbeat

  • First Time: While trying to save the victim of an armed robbery
  • Second Time: In the car with Jared (then on foot) trying to find the robber and the heartbeat sound gets louder and louder the closer she gets
Michaela finds out that Carlos received Evie's heart in a heart transplant after Evie's death.
8 Michaela Stone Her voice saying "Don't lose him" Misinterpretation: Stop Harvey Stein from committing suicide.

Real meaning and outcome: TBD

9 Cal Stone and Ben Stone Cal: Draws a picture of a warehouse and two trees, with a blood mark between the two trees, and tells Ben he'll "be the only one to see them"

Ben: Sees a pair of pathlights

Autumn finds Ben, leading her to his and Vance's group effort to raid the Singularity Project's warehouse with assistance from Cal's drawing. Ben leads half of the group out by following the pathlights, which nobody else was able to see, while the warehouse explodes with Jared and Vance still inside.
10 Cal Stone and Michaela Stone Michaela: Vision of a blizzard and a man's voice (later revealed to be Zeke) saying "Find Her". Misinterpreted at first as finding Paul Santino's wife Helen and then as finding Kathryn Fitz.

Cal: Vision of a man in a blizzard who is holding a magazine photo of Michaela, saying "Find Her"

No result in this episode, but the calling recurs in "Vanishing Point" through Cal's sketchbook to find Zeke in Tannersville, New York.
13 Michaela Stone and Zeke Landon Shared vision of the two of them standing on a rock, under stars, with dark lightning. At first, Zeke's voice saying "Go back", and later, Michaela's voice saying the same thing. At first, they think it means to go back to the place of Chloe's memorial, but when they continue to have the vision, they assume it means to return to the city though Zeke is initially reluctant.
14 Cal Stone and Zeke Landon They see a dark brown wolf barking and lunging towards them. Cal doesn't want to draw the entire image at first, believing he causes the future. When he does, it shows a wolf with red eyes lunging towards Michaela, lining up with her opening the door of the sunken van and Griffin lunging towards her. At first, the wolf is assumed by Ben to be Adrian Shannon due to the danger that Saanvi Bahl is in due to Adrian being "a wolf in sheep's clothing" or a false prophet. Ben later realizes that the wolf Callings are a warning about Griffin: "once a predator, always a predator."
15 James Griffin A terrorist bombing in Times Square. After learning about the Callings from Michaela, Griffin uses the Calling to negotiate an immunity deal for his murder charges. Ben believes that it was given to Griffin to show that the Callings can be used for evil just as easily as they can be used for good.
15 Michaela Stone A dark brown wolf.

First Time: The growl of a wolf coming from where James Griffin is sitting.

Second Time: After the terrorist bomb is disarmed, the wolf appears amongst the crowd, growling at Michaela before it backs up and runs off.

First Time: As Michaela goes to leave the interrogation room, she hears a wolf's growl coming from where Griffin is sitting. After Grace Stone suggests that it's not about the Callings themselves but how people choose to use them, Ben realizes that the wolf Callings are a warning about Griffin: "once a predator, always a predator."

Second Time: As the wolf reappears after Griffin successfully abuses the Calling, the wolf is likely meant to serve as a warning that he will continue to do so. After seeing this Calling, Michaela worriedly tells Jared Vasquez that they're still in danger even with the bomb disarmed.

16 Cal Stone The Death Date Cal is given a Calling revealing the 828 Passengers' Death Date on June 2, 2024. Cal draws a picture of graves for himself, Ben and Michaela which only has their names when he shows it to Zeke. The graves are later marked with the Death Date, but Cal keeps it a secret until Cal's family figures it out for themselves.
16 Michaela Stone, Ben Stone, Zeke Landon, Saanvi Bahl "Stop him," presumably referring to Griffin, who had just been released from police custody. Zeke buys a gun to kill Griffin and protect Michaela but doesn't end up shooting him.
16 Michaela Stone "Stop him" again, after Griffin is no longer an issue. She rushes up the stairs toward her apartment as Zeke and Jared Vasquez are in an altercation there; she is to "stop" one of them. A gun goes off as she enters the room.
17 Michaela Stone and Cal Stone They see and feel the plane nosediving, crashing. Cal sits next to Michaela, about to say "save the passengers". When it happens again, Michaela sees Zeke on the plane. Ben takes this to mean he should track down all unaccounted passengers and make sure they're safe, and try to avoid the Death Date. Michaela thinks it means helping them one by one, as many as they can.
17 Michaela Stone First time: Her vision begins shaking when she sees the Vasiks' names on the board, and Cal's voice saying "save the passengers".

Second time: After touching Zeke, vision of the GW bridge and the Vasiks' car at the edge.

Misinterpretation: the Vasiks think they're meant to drive off the cliff because they see the car at the edge of the cliff, going through the railing, and hearing children scream.

Real outcome: They found that a car has already went over the edge, with a family inside.

18 Grace Stone As she prepares for the paternity test, she hears her own voice repeating "stop". Proves Ben is the baby's father, and wants Saanvi to test her blood rather than the clinic.
18 TJ Morrison Envisions being in a grave. A girl's body is found buried in a construction site, implying that it was not him in his own grave, but the girl.
18 Michaela Stone, Cal Stone, Zeke Landon They feel and see turbulence in their line of sight like the "save the passengers" calling in 2x1, but this time they visibly shake, similar to a seizure. Happens when TJ Morrison is arrested. This time, he is the passenger they are meant to save, since he is innocent.
18 Michaela Stone While looking through Frannie's things, Michaela sees a scuffed boot over the edge of Frannie's grave. She drops Frannie's key card and it leads her to find the true killer.
18 Michaela Stone, Cal Stone, Zeke Landon When Michaela begins to write to Zeke, they all experience the nosediving plane and turbulence again. In the plane, she calls out to him and he begins to respond before the top of the plane goes up in flames. Possibly to save Zeke in real life, while he is being treated in the prison's medical facility.
19 Grace Stone Hears her own voice saying "open her eyes", then sees a winged gargoyle growling on top of a mom friend's car. It reappears when she visits Erika at soccer. Unclear who the Calling is referring to, but revealed that Erika and her husband are Xers and he is on the board of professors who decide to hire Ben as a lecturer. The university has a gargoyle statue, possibly meaning that the Calling was trying to warn Grace about Simon, Erika and their leading role in the Xers.
19 Michaela Stone, Cal Stone, Zeke Landon Happens when Michaela finds out where Zeke has been transferred to. The Calling puts them back in the windy plane again. Zeke is seizing and as a doctor administers drugs, the Calling stops and in the plane, he is blown away before he can grab Michaela's hand. He is not meant to be in prison. Michaela sneaks in to give him a lawyer's name, starting the process to have his plea withdrawn and charges dismissed. In court, Michaela testifies and he is sentenced to time served on a misdemeanor, free to go.
20 Michaela Stone and Zeke Landon As if time slows down, things start to shake, and her own voice repeating "bring him back", focusing on Premier Boroughs Bank. It brings them both inside the bank. They encounter another 828 passenger trying to access the vault, learning he also had the Death Date calling. The phrase referred to Frank, whose key they needed for the vault.
20 TJ Morrison He sees an image of a bug, bird, fish, and tiger, along with the year 2012. Olive tells them it is the Gramercy Club's logo, with the year of the champions. It leads them to find Frank Strickland, the brother of the person Michaela and Zeke's calling led them to encounter. They tell him about the Death Date (June 2, 2024), and Frank realizes it is the number of his safety deposit box.
21 Ben Stone His own voice saying "save her". Misinterpretation: Thinks the "her" refers to the unborn baby, after Grace and Cal are in a car accident.

Real outcome: More likely refers to Olive becoming a Believer, as he hears it again after touching the pamphlet in her room. Ben goes to the church to tell Adrian to stay away from his daughter.

22 Ben Stone and Saanvi Bahl He envisions being on the plane again, and at first, no one responds until he sees Saanvi. She begs for his help, then fades away. Saanvi sees a boy scared, breathing hard, and asking for help. She notices his eyes have yellow rings. Misinterpretation: Saanvi is in trouble. When Ben and Michaela arrive at her lab, they unlock the door to find her passed out on the floor. She faded away due to hypoxia.

Real outcome: The boy is Theo, Finn's son. When they meet, Saanvi realizes Theo has signs of liver disease, and Finn is a match to be his donor.

22 Michaela Stone Feels and sees snowflakes, similar to the blizzard before finding Zeke. Happens as Zeke is about to go find Lucas, she takes this to mean she is supposed to go with him.
22 Michaela Stone, Ben Stone, Saanvi Bahl, Adrian Shannon The last calling Michaela had was a misinterpretation. As Ben recognizes the falling flakes to be ash, they are transported back to the plane. However, the plane has crashed and some of the passengers weren't on the plane originally. They see Finn with Theo's rock in his hand. Adrian is outside the plane, watching. Unclear, possibly about what happens in the nightclub in the following episode.
23 Cal Stone, Zeke Landon, Grace Stone, Michaela Stone See and hear thunder, fire, EDM, nightclub, "save the passengers". When Michaela sees the champagne, she flashes back to the crashed plane and spots broken champagne bottles. Many passengers have mysteriously been called to the same nightclub: Bethany, Finn, Adrian, Michaela, Ben, TJ, and others unnamed. Isaiah lured them there and poisoned the champagne, locked them in, and started a fire. Six people are killed in the fire, including a few of the passengers, but the intervention of the Stones, Zeke and TJ Morrison as a result of the Calling save most of the people in the club.
23 Ben Stone First Time: Sees glowing white light.

Second Time: Opening the Al-Zuras Journal to find a drawing similar to him carrying Olive through fire. The same glowing white light.

First Time: Shows the way to the exit of the burning nightclub.

Second Time: TBD.

24 Ben Stone Hears high pitched ringing and male chanting after touching the picture, then at the memorial site. It continues through the center, leading them into the basement through hidden paths leading towards nightclub. Misinterpretation: Leads him to the Bushwick Meditation Center with a Buddhist temple. He and Olive hold a ceremony for TJ.

Real outcome: They find TJ still alive; the same Calling guided him out of the nightclub fire and to safety.

25 Cal Stone, Ben Stone, Grace Stone, TJ Morrison They all experience symptoms of being on a boat, during a storm with lightning. Grace is seasick, Cal loses his temper, TJ is upset and blames himself; they go mad like the men on Al-Zuras' boat. Once they build what Cal sees in his dream, they are transported to a boat in the ocean, during a storm, with Flight 828 flying above. "The cure begat the affliction. In the end, there is no way to be rid of the Voice. The only way to survive is to accept. All other paths lead to disaster." is a passage from the book. Ben takes this to mean if they accept the Callings, they will survive the Death Date, and alternatives like Saanvi's cure won't work. It also reveals that the boat and the plane were somehow in the same place at the same time during the same storm.
26 Grace Stone, Adrian Shannon Transported to High Bridge over Harlem River, a man's voice saying "help me". A man drowning in the river turns out to be the specialist needed to perform Grace's surgery. Adrian Shannon suggests that the Calling was what put Grace in danger in the first place, resulting in the need for the specialist.
26 Cal Stone, Adrian Shannon The shadowy figure in Cal's first calling drawing turns into 3. Adrian sees the shadows in an alley, Cal sees them in his room. Revealed in "Unaccompanied Minors" to be warning of the threat from the Meth Heads.
27 Ben Stone and TJ Morrison Train running into Ben. TJ sees a stained glass phoenix, the Bowery Street station mosaic. They save a man at the train station from jumping. He turns out to be Zeke's dad.
27 Michaela Stone Her voice saying "let him go" when she first encounters Oscar, repeats when she arrests Jace Baylor & Kory Jephers. TBD.
28 Ben Stone and Ward Attwood Vision of the plane exploding

Fourth time happens during 29; the plane's tailfin breaks off.

First Time: Leads Ben to the hangar where he runs into Ward, who blames himself for the plane disappearing as he inspected the plane before it left Jamaica. Ben relieves Ward's guilt by showing him the government's post-flight inspection report, which lined up with Ward's pre-flight checklist, showing Ward that it was not his fault, thereby relieving Ward's guilt.

Second Time: Outside of Ward's apartment, he sees a box in the window of a vintage shop. He gives the box to Michaela, which is revealed to have belonged to their mother and contained her wedding veil, so Michaela can wear it for her wedding to Zeke. Third Time: About what happens to Cal at the end of the episode. Fourth Time: The plane's tailfin is found in Cuba.

28 Michaela Stone Vision of Karen in a chair at her wedding Reassures Michaela that she is supposed to be marrying Zeke.
29 Zeke Landon Vision of himself outside, frostbitten and falling to the ground. Cal is also there. Predicts the future - he dies there, but after saving Cal, he beats his Death Date and resurrects. This Calling was showing Zeke how to beat the Death Date.
30 Michaela Stone, Cal Stone, Ben Stone Black & white vision of themselves screaming, under white light. When Ben touches the tailfin, he's thrown back. Angelina Meyer is also there. Repeats for Michaela in the Meyers' house. Angelina's parents locked her in the basement; she's the person Cal is expecting. As Ben sees the plane exploding in addition to them screaming, he believes the passengers died on 828 and were brought back.
31 Ben Stone Saanvi's sample of Ben's injury starts to glow, as does Ben's hand, and where he touched the tailfin. TBD, not explained in this episode.
32 Ben Stone and Eagan Tehrani Vision of artifacts shaking and falling, kid passed out on the ground. Leads him to Eagan Tehrani and the Harlem Freeport, where a pipe is leaking gas. The kid is Kory's brother. In addition, Eagan finds and discards a vital piece of a clue that was hidden in the same location.
32 Michaela Stone An old calling: Evie's heart beating. Later, sees Beverly holding a necklace with the word "brave"; flashes back to Pete saying "she was so brave". When it beats again, she keeps Beverly at home. Glen dies after a heart attack; he made a video for Michaela. Later, Michaela brings Angelina to see Pete. Glen arranged for Beverly to move to a nursing home, but the Calling convinces Michaela to move into the house.
36 Michaela Stone, Ben Stone, Eagan Tehrani, Donovan Mitchell, and other 828 passengers A black cloud forming over the Eureka facility. Later, their hands glow like Ben's. They believe something in Eureka needs to be stopped; related to the loading dock.
37 Michaela Stone, Ben Stone Ben sees passengers bursting into flames, Michaela feels the World Card burn her hand. The volcano card may be related to Saanvi's discovery, but the flames are to stop Rachel from endangering the Lifeboat by killing her abuser.
38 Michaela Stone, Ben Stone, Eagan Tehrani Dark cloud calling again, lots of rainwater akin to floods, a lion roaring, blood tears, Saanvi's picture. May be about how Saanvi can't receive callings, but the tears dissipate after admitting she killed the Major.
39 Astrid Koren Vision of a rally flag (described as a skull on a checkerboard), and later sees a young boy who can't breathe. He has dark hair, he is about 8, he is missing a shoe and his hands are covered in something bright orange (revealed to be dust from a bag of hot chips). He is trapped underneath something and cannot breathe. Leads Astrid and Ben to Cody Webber's shop. While investigating a bomb threat at Astrid's place of work, Michaela meets Cody's ex-wife who also works there, who tells Michaela that Cody called in the bomb threat to kidnap their son Robin. The boy in the calling is Robin. When Ben confronts Cody, Cody refuses to tell Ben where Robin is, which results in Ben assaulting him and Cal sees Ben's picture in flames -- his trial by fire. Cody reluctantly gives in, and using Astrid's callings, she and Michaela find Robin trapped by earthquake debris in the bunker Cody built to keep him safe from a war he thought was coming because of 828.
47 Michaela Stone A bee landing on the picture of Erika Burness At first not recognized as a Calling, the bee is pointing Michaela to Erika who is helping Angelina Meyer to hide Ben and Eden Stone at Adrian Shannon's compound where the residents make honey.
50 Eagan Tehrani "Help him" Eagan's first Calling leading him to the Masonic Temple of the Omega Order. It occurred at the exact same time as Michaela and Saanvi's Calling to help Thomas Reid shortly after Flight 828 first returned. However, Eagan instead helped himself to a petty cash bag that was left out and ignored the Calling. Eagan later realizes that it was trying to lead him to the Omega Sapphire which was hidden behind the wall of the Boiler Room where Thomas was hiding which is next door to the Masonic Temple.
50 Ben Stone and Radd Campbell Music plays that only they can hear A repeat of their earlier shared Calling, this time to save Ben's son Cal instead of Radd's son Adio. Having turned the music from the original Calling into a composition for his son, Radd reveals that it's not quite the same melody. Between them, Ben and Radd have the beginning and ending of the song from the original Calling, but they're missing the bridge which Radd wrote for Ben. Ben determines that the bridge has 10 notes which correspond to numbers. As Ben and Radd work out which numbers correspond to each note, the bridge suddenly plays by itself on the piano and the numbers glow on the sheet music. The numbers turn out to be the phone number of Doctor Alex Bates who reveals that Cal's leukemia has returned and is able to use her status as his doctor to get him released into her custody.
51 Michaela Stone, Ben Stone, Cal Stone, Saanvi Bahl, Thomas Reid The Stones and Saanvi are on a crashing Flight 828 with Zeke Landon, Olive Stone and Jared Vasquez sitting in the plane's seats, motionless. A call light goes on above seat 7F while Thomas frantically tries to open the cargo hatch. Despite being in the Calling, Zeke did not share it with the others. The group is left with a foreboding feeling from the Calling and determine that the call light had come on over Marko Valeriev's seat, suggesting that both he and Thomas need their help. The Compass leads Michaela and Saanvi to the Boiler Room -- the location where Thomas had hidden after the plane first landed -- where the Omega Sapphire is hidden in the walls. Marko provides an important piece of the puzzle to actually finding it.
51 Eagan Tehrani Guidance through the Masonic Temple of the Omega Order Eagan is guided to collect a series of tiles hidden in the walls of the Masonic Temple of the Omega Order and then to go through a door to the Boiler Room where the Omega Sapphire is hidden.
51 Marko Valeriev A drawing of the World Card with the volcano covered in fire The Calling was telling the group in the Boiler Room that they needed to set the wall hiding the Omega Sapphire on fire in order to find it. The Al-Zuras Deck acted as a map to the Omega Sapphire with a triangular grate indicative of a volcano in place of the World Card for the fire to be set in.
51 Thomas Reid An urge to return to the Boiler Room The Calling draws Thomas back to the Boiler Room to rescue Michaela, Saanvi and his long-lost boyfriend Leo.
51 Michaela Stone, Ben Stone, Cal Stone, Saanvi Bahl, Thomas Reid, Eagan Tehrani Everyone involved in the first Calling sees ash falling before being drawn into what starts as a repeat of the earlier Calling, but now with Leo and Alex Bates also in the plane's seats. Outside of the plane is an erupting volcano while lava comes up the plane's aisle. Eagan appears at the back of the plane holding the glowing Omega Sapphire, but before he can hand it to Michaela, Eagan vanishes from the Calling. The Calling reveals that the Death Date isn't just for the 828 Passengers: it's the Apocalypse in the form of volcano eruptions matching the World Card. Zeke, Olive, Jared, Leo and Alex -- the surviving loved ones of the passengers involved in the Calling -- represent everyone else being in danger from the Death Date. Eagan vanishes due to Angelina Meyer attacking him in the real world and stealing the Sapphire.
58 Cal Stone Cal struggles to breathe while four queen poker cards fall to the ground with the "Q" in the corner replaced by the numbers 6238. Robert Vance realizes that the queens refer to the Every Queen Cooling company that services the 828 Detention Center with Freon. 6238 turns out to be a company van number belonging to Tom Boone, a dangerous Xer. By tracking the van, Cal and Vance are able to save Michaela from Tom, although her absence from the Calling shows that it wasn't about her. In the back of the van is cannisters of Sarin gas that Tom was planning to use to kill all of the passengers in the detention center. The gas is the reason that Cal couldn't breathe in the Calling. Vance calls Emmett Fischer to dispose of Tom and the gas.
60 Amuta Clarke through Cal Stone A game of cricket which Amuta used to play growing up in Jamaica. TJ Morrison suggests that it could be connected to the cricket fields in Prospect Park. Amuta and TJ go together to solve the Calling and TJ later tells Bethany Collins that it was a bit rough, but they figured it out. However, it's not revealed what the Calling meant. Amuta states that with the incomplete intel from Cal, it was a miracle that they were able to solve it.
60 Michaela Stone through Cal Stone The phrase "every life is worth living," although Cal mistakes it to be "every life is worth saving." The Calling is directing Michaela to the addiction treatment facility where her deceased husband Zeke Landon had worked. There, Michaela meets Carlos, the young man who had gotten her dead best friend Evie Markes' heart. Carlos helps Michaela to finally forgive herself for Evie's death, thus lightening her heart to help survive the Death Date. Carlos also gives Michaela a drawing that Zeke had made of the Gemini petrograph which helps to solve what the passengers need to do in order to beat the Death Date.
60 Seat 12F through Cal Stone Unknown Unknown
60 Henry Kim through Cal Stone "A sawing noise and a storm with rain and thunder." Henry works with Bethany Collins to solve it. Henry later tells Cal that the Calling had led him to an old toy shop on Canal Street where he found a wooden figurine of the dragon Shenlong, the king of storms. Henry believes that it's a sign meant for Cal. Saanvi Bahl later realizes that it represents Storm King Mountain where she had thrown in a piece of Noah's Ark.
60 Ben Stone through Cal Stone A buzzing noise followed by the numbers 1121. The numbers turn out to be the start of a Brooklyn zip code. In one of the 10 postal codes starting with those numbers, Robert Vance is able to find a building with solar panels on it despite the whole block having been condemned years before. The solar panels are new, having only been installed months before, and Cal realizes that the buzzing sound is the high-voltage power from the panels. The building turns out to be a government black site which Cal, Ben and Vance rescue Saanvi Bahl from.
60 and 61 Marko Valeriev "Kovcheg" When Marko is awakened from his state of constant Calling, he utters the Bulgarian word "kovcheg" which turns out to be another clue. It is translated first into "coffin" which the passengers at first take as a sign that they are doomed. However, Marko later reveals that "kovcheg" also means "ark" with Marko calling a picture of Noah's Ark "noeviat kovcheg." The Calling was directing the passengers to combine the Omega Sapphire in Cal's scar with the one in the piece of Noah's Ark thrown into a fissure at the base of Storm King Mountain. This results in the resurrection of Flight 828 itself and a beacon that draws all of the surviving passengers to Storm King Mountain for the Death Date.

Trivia[]

  • Cal Stone was the only one to receive a calling that physically harmed him. In the 2-part season 3 finale episodes Mayday, Cal ended up getting burns on his body and it only ended up getting worse and worse.
  • Until the 2nd part of season 3 finale Mayday, it is noticeable that every time one of the passengers was experiencing a calling that had them back on flight 828, they were in their clothes the night of the flight. But in the final moments of the finale, from then on with an 828 calling, everyone enters the Calling with the clothes they have in their present moments. This is directly related to the fact that Angelina killed Grace, which made the plane disappear at Eureka and that means to suggest that the Callings lost a little faith in the passengers after the gruesome act of what Angelina had done.
  • Death appears to take the lives of anyone not undergoing the trial when they are told of the Callings, so as to prevent them from altering the order of events. Grace and Jared are spared due to being instrumental to helping Ben, Mick and Cal.
  • In “Connecting Flights” (S1:E5) Ben gets a calling saying “it’s all connected” when his in the same boiler room where they found the omega sapphire. And Thomas is looking for Leo, find him when they found the omega sapphire.
