Eagan Tehrani is a major character on Manifest. He debuts in the third episode of the third season and is portrayed by guest actor Ali Lopez-Soahaili.
Biography[]
After Flight 828[]
Eagan first appeared in "Wingman" as a chess player who lost everything and now plays chess in the parks in order to make money. He also tells Ben that he has been following all the Callings since 828 landed. Ben and Eagan save a homeless boy from a storage unit. Eagan says he wants to go shutoff the gas but when the room explodes Ben finds Eagan outside. Later Eagan is seen pawning off some items he stole from the storage including an urn with a piece of parchment within it that completed "The Last Trial" papyrus that Levi and Olive had been working on. He stuffs the paper in Ben's briefcase and throws it into a garbage can with Ben's ID in the front pocket.
Later Eagan and a bunch of other 828ers show up at Eureka following a dark cloud calling.
When the passengers are being judged on the Death Date, Eagan selflessly pleads to god to spare Adrian by stating he is a good man and then giving him his mother's necklace and offering himself to die in his place. It works and Adrian is spared but Eagan starts to burn up. Eagan expresses how he deserves this fate due to his selfish actions but Adrian convinces him that sacrificing himself was the most selfless thing he could do, and as a result, Eagan is also spared and both of them survive the Death Date.
New Timeline[]
The passengers who survived the death date soon realize they have been sent back to to April 7, 2013, which was when Flight 828 was originally supposed to land, which also makes them realize that they had been given a second chance. By traveling back in time, a new timeline is created where the passengers arrive on time and get a chance to live the 5 1/2 years they originally lost. Adrian asked Eagan to work with him on starting a business, which Eagan accepted.
Trivia[]
- Eagan’s view on life ended up hindering the other 828 passengers.
- Eagan unknowingly stole a piece of parchment that Ben and the others needed, as a result they learned too late about the last trial which caused the deaths of Pete, Kory, and Jace.
- Eagan convinced some of the other 828 passengers to turn against Ben, which caused some them to fail the judgement on the death date and ultimately caused their deaths.
- Eagan stole the Omega Sapphire after working together with Michaela to find it, which was stolen by Angelina who used it to try and take back Eden. This also caused the government to forcibly capture and detain all the 828 passengers into a facility for the rest of the time they had left until their death date.
- In "Rendezvous" he used the "she" pronoun to refer to God.
