Erika Burness is a passenger of Montego Air Flight 828.
Biography[]
During Flight 828[]
Erika went to Jamaica for an unknown reason, possibly for vacation. Like the rest of the passengers, she disappeared for five and a half years along with Flight 828. ("Pilot")
After Flight 828[]
Eagan and Erika kidnap Warren and held him hostage before Vance comes in and saves him. ("Mayday (Part 2)")
Erika and her boyfriend rob a gun store with Randall Barr as a witness. They are interrogated by Drea Mikami for the crime. ("Go-Around")
Erika is one of the people living at Adrian Shannon's compound where she builds bombs out of fertilizer and plants them in every room in case of a police raid. Unlike the other passengers, Erika is fanatically loyal to Angelina Meyer's cause, although she flees when the Stones raid the compound and rescue the other passengers. That night, Erika returns and tries to kill an unaware Michaela Stone. His out of control empathy powers perceiving Erika's rage, Zeke grabs Jared's gun and he shoots her dead. Vance orders everyone to leave while he and Emmett stay behind to clean the mess up. ("Squawk")
It is unknown if Erika was resurrected after the Death Date was over and most of the passengers were given a second chance.

- When asked about Erika's fate on Twitter, Jeff Rake stated that after much discussion in the writer's room, "we felt that since she wouldn't have survived the Death Date that God wouldn't have brought her back."[1]
