Trivia[]
- Jared and Drea have named their newborn daughter Hope.
- Cal called all the passengers, though they had to ditch their family.
- Flight 828 returns for the passengers, via the fissure.
- It's stated that the plane was restored by Cal combining his Omega Sapphire with the sapphire in the piece of Noah's Ark that Saanvi had thrown into the fissure years earlier.
- Angelina finally is put in her place, dying as even God couldn't forgive her for her evil deeds. All of the members of Angelina's Cult die as well after she had ironically promised to save him.
- Ben forgives Angelina as per the prophecy which lightens his heart, allowing Ben to survive the Death Date. Angelina certainly was beyond redemption however, considering even benevolent forces could not forgive her on the day of reckoning.
- Michaela may have helped to beat her own Death Date in the same way through lightening her heart through forgiveness. In Michaela's case, it was forgiving herself for Evie Markes' death in "Lift/Drag" which her final Calling had led Michaela to do. The guilt over Evie's death had been burdening her ever since it happened.
- Eagan bargains with God: his life for Adrian's life; but Adrian helps Eagan show he's worthy of living, allowing them both to live.
- Saanvi killing the Major nearly dooms her, but ultimately, her saving Cal balances out the Major's murder. In effect, take a life save a life.
- When Ben and Mick stand together with the other passengers against Death, it appears to be suffering in pain each time they mention a Calling's good deed.
- It didn't react to Mick's rage at the anguished lives they all suffered, implying it cannot comprehend their pain or simply doesn't care.
- A New Timeline takes place of the original, erasing the entirety of the series.
- As the surviving passengers head to the door in the light, they are shown to look like they de-aged, and it confirmed they have in fact de-aged when they are revealed to have been sent back to April 7, 2013.
- 11 passengers don't make it; Paul, Randall, Angelina, and Autumn are included in that total. Ironically this matched the amount of people Kathryn Fitz kidnapped and tortured.
- Saanvi still has and feels her gunshot wound from Angelina in the original timeline.
- TJ meets Violet, a fellow teenage passenger, allowing him a new chance at love, since Olive is too young for him now.
- Mick breaks up with Jared, telling him that his soulmate is out there waiting. This spares him 11 years of misery.
- Saanvi reunites her girlfriend, who is ready to leave her husband and have a family with Saanvi instead.
- Mick helps Leo get a cab to meet his boyfriend Leo giving the driver the correct location for him.
- Recalling how Zeke had told her that he was working as a cab driver on the night that Flight 828 disappeared, Mick finds the cab Zeke is driving and begins to tell him of how they will be together. This fulfills one of three chances that they had to meet and missed that Zeke had mentioned in "Final Descent".
- Cal is revived as his 2013 self, but without the 5 1/2 years of memory that the other passengers have.
- Ben plans to get Saanvi treat him for leukemia right away, aware that her treatment can save Cal's life just like it did the first time.
- Only the surviving 828 passengers recall their disappearance and the past 5 1/2 years from the original timeline.
- Adrian asks Eagan to help him set up a business.
- Drea is one of the cops called in to investigate the missing 11 passengers, meeting Jared; a spark instantly lights between them. Mick even subtlety told Jared that "[they] must have Hope".
- Vance also arrives to investigate the oddity, with Ben smiling to see his now non-friend again.
- Ben has forgotten why he was upset with Grace, and now plans to conceive Eden again who has been effectively erased from existence for the time being.
- Other characters who had died along the way such as the Major and Tarik will have been restored in this new timeline.
- All of the passengers who have died along the way, including Kelly Taylor and Harvey Stein, arrive from the plane, apparently not having any of the memories that the surviving passengers do.
- In a deleted scene, Daly returns, but when Vance finds him in the 828 plane, Daly explodes for failing The Last Trial. (Angelina can partially be blamed for this, as Daly couldn't make up for kidnapping Fiona).
- When asked about Erika Burness's fate on Twitter, Jeff Rake stated that after much discussion in the writer's room, "we felt that since she wouldn't have survived the Death Date that God wouldn't have brought her back.[3]
- It's s unknown if the world from 6/2/2024 still exists after 828 passes the trial, but it's possible if Multiverse Theory applies, where divergent timelines exists side by side (see Avengers Endgame for example). After all, Death stopped the volcanic doomsday right before they entered the light again to return to 4/7/13.
- This would leave Jared and Drea to help Olive raise Eden; along with Polly's husband having to raise his daughter alone.
