Henry Kim was a character on Manifest. He was mentioned in the eleventh episode of the third season and is portrayed by guest actor Clem Cheung.

Biography[]

Before Flight 828[]

In his childhood, Henry was struck by a bolt of lightning, causing a scar to form on his arm. His father told him that the scar is a dragon that gives him strength.

After Flight 828[]

After Flight 828, Henry Kim returns to Singapore where he is detained. He undergoes a military tribunal due to fear and suspicion of passengers rising. He is later taken by the Singaporean government, and they fake his death. Michaela Stone learns of his death from Captain Kate Bowers, and this supposed death is one of the deciding factors in her deciding to quit her job.

For two years after his faked death, he was used as a lab rat by the Chinese government. One day in 2022, he escapes during testing by emitting a blinding light.

After Michaela starts having Callings of cherry blossoms, she stumbles upon Kim hidden in a shipping crate. After bringing him back to the bird's nest, Robert Vance recognizes him as the executed passenger from Singapore. He repeatedly asks to see "the boy" (Cal Stone), and is brought to the Registry after a failed attempt to drive him to see Cal. During this, he forces a calling between him and Cal, and reaches out his hand, as to give him something. After being snuck into the room where Henry is by Drea Mikami, Cal has a brief interaction with Henry, in which he tells Cal that he is also a dragon. Cal then discovers that he now bears the same scar as Henry.

A New Timeline[]

After the passengers beat the Death Date, they are given a second chance by being sent back in time to when they were originally supposed to arrive, April 7, 2013, thereby creating a new timeline. Only the Flight 828 passengers remember their disappearance and the past 5 1/2 years from the original timeline. As they leave the airport, Harvey Stein offers to help Kim find his way in America.
