Synopsis[]
| When Cal wakes with a life-threatening fever, Grace worries it's a side-effect of his experimental cancer treatment, but Michaela and Ben suspect Cal's condition may be related to a mysterious passenger from Flight 828. As Cal's situation worsens, Ben and Michaela attempt to track down the now-missing passenger.[src] |
Plot[]
Cal experiences night terrors and begins screaming in a foreign language in his sleep. After finding him feverish and taking him to the hospital, Grace is worried that Saanvi's cancer treatment is making Cal sick. After arguing with Ben over whether or not to let the hospital administer antibiotics to Cal (which would conflict with Saanvi's treatment), (to be continued)
Saanvi recalls hearing Cal's unintelligible words being spoken by a flight 828 passenger, who is identified by Ben to be a Bulgarian man named Marko Valeriev. Unfortunately, Marko cannot be tracked down. They consult Anna Ross, a fellow 828 passenger and translator who helped Marko with his language difficulties. Michaela and Ben eventually discover that the government essentially kidnapped passengers who were foreign nationals or had no living relatives. Marko is being experimented on by the government, and Cal is channeling his pain.
The NSA holds several scientific panels to try and understand what happened to flight 828 and its passengers, but to no avail. Director Vance is frustrated at the Department of Defense for withholding information, but is optimistic about Jared's private investigations into the strange intuition Michaela has displayed. Jared himself is frustrated that Michaela keeps shutting him out, but agrees to help her when passengers' lives are at stake.
When they run recon on the facility where the missing passengers are being held, Jared is shocked at the level of security and demands answers from Michaela. She comes clean about the passengers' Callings

- This is the first episode of the show not to feature Luna Blaise as Olive Stone.
- Tim Moriarty is now credited as "Guest Starring", after being previously credited as "Co-Starring".
- Bethany Collins is revealed to have been incarcerated by the NSA for refusing to share information about Thomas Reid.
- Its never explained, even at the end of series, why Cal is getting semi-possessed by Marko. It doesnt work like that for the Callings.
- Anna Ross was given divirce papers by her husband the moment she was allowed to leave the airport; leaving her to live in a hotel.
