"Precious Cargo" is the seventh episode of the third season of Manifest. It premiered on May 6, 2021 on NBC.

Synopsis

Mick questions Ben's developing relationship with Eureka. A new adversarial group suspicious of Ben takes drastic measures to gain answers. Saanvi proves her worth through a scientific breakthrough. Angelina reaches a breaking point.[src]

Plot

Furious that Pete is now dead alongside the fact that they now have the bodies of him, Jace, and Kory in their custody, Dr. Gupta says Ben and Saanvi have to leave the Eureka project after their current tasks are finished. Michaela, Eagan, and several other 828 passengers get a calling of a dark cloud over the east wing of the building that houses the Eureka team, then they see Ben leaving the building. Eagan and two others kidnap Ben with Eagan pressing him on what is going on in the building. Ben admits he's allowed himself to be a research subject. He says the east wing is a loading dock and agrees to investigate while also telling Eagan about the three meth heads and how everyone from 828 is "in the same lifeboat". Michaela and Drea locate Ben when it turns out that the house they were in doesn't belong to Eagan. By then, he has already agreed to work with Eagan; Ben later bails him out and informs him not to do anything he'll regret. Cal deals with guilt over Tarik's death knowing why Jace was there, while Angelina has similar feelings about Pete's death. Jared gets closer with Sarah Fitz. Saanvi makes a discovery about different metallic compounds found in people that have returned and died recognizing them as materials in sapphire. Gupta later decides to retain Saanvi following her breakthrough, then has something to show her in a sealed container.
