Steven "Steve" Stone is the husband of Karen Stone and father of Ben and Michaela Stone.
Biography[]
Before Flight 828[]
At one point, Steve married a woman named Karen and the two had two children, Ben and Michaela. As a teenager Michaela dated a guy who had a band and wanted to quit school to follow him on tour. Steve had a beer with him and seeing her boyfriend getting drunk with her father, Michaela lost all interest in him.
At one point Ben married a woman named Grace and had two children in turn: Cal and Olive.
The whole family took a family vacation to Jamaica, and when they had to go home, they found that their flight was oversold, so Michaela, Ben and Cal decided to take the next flight, while Karen, Grace, Steve and Olive stayed on that they had booked. ("Pilot")
During Flight 828[]
Flight 828, however, disappeared and everyone believed that Cal, Michaela and Ben are believed to be dead. When Michaela's boyfriend Jared began to fall in love with Lourdes, Michaela's best friend, he went to talk to Karen and Steve about it. The latter didn't think it was a good idea for the two to start a relationship, but Karen convinced Jared to follow his feelings. ("Reentry", "Connecting Flights")
At one point, Karen fell ill and died. ("Pilot")
After Flight 828[]

Steve sees his daughter again
When warned of the return of 828, Steve immediately rushed to his children and grandson. When Michaela asked where Karen and Jared were, he replied that Jared had not been able to free himself from work and told his family about Karen's death, and then hugged his daughter.
After the 828 Passengers are rounded up and locked in the 828 Detention Center, Steve cashes in his pension to hire a lawyer in an unsuccessful attempt to get his children out. Olive later tells Ben that she and Steve were forced to get a job to cover the bills and sell the family car.
During the months leading up to the Death Date, Steve suffers a stroke and is left partially paralyzed and with a speech impediment as a result.
A New Timeline[]
828 ends up back in 2013, where Steve hadn't suffered a stroke yet and his wife is still alive. Steve is at JFK with Karen, Grace and Olive when Flight 828 arrives.
