After Flight 828[]

After James Griffin is pulled out of the water and admitted to Koch hospital, Davis discovers that Griffin and Cal Stone have the same ischemic blood biomarker and brings this to Saanvi Bahl's attention. Unbeknownst to Davis, this was information Saanvi already knew -- that all 828 passengers she tested so far had the same biomarker, as well as Griffin and Zeke. ("Estimated Time of Departure")

When Saanvi is tasked with running a paternity test for Grace and Ben, she borrows a DNA sequencer from the lab where Davis is working. He asks if it's for the biomarker previously mentioned, and offers to help. When he comes to check on her, he asks her out but she is distracted by the test results. ("Grounded")

He assists Saanvi in the research and they find a gene mutation in the passengers' DNA. However, after learning there is a mole going off her research, she starts to suspect it may be him and relieves him of lab assistant duties. ("False Horizon") Despite this, he still brings her dinner. Unfortunately, he walks in on Matthews while stealing samples of Saanvi's work. Matthews injects Davis with a drug, knocking him out. ("Black Box") At some point, the NSA would find Troy and recruit him as part of Project Eureka's research team.

In Season 3, Saanvi bumps into Troy in the NSA facility. He was recruited to the classified research team studying 828. As it turns out, they were using him to replicate her research. ("Tailspin") Together, they figure out sapphire is the common denominator among the passengers, Zeke, Meth Heads, and resurfaced tailfin, ("Precious Cargo") and continue their research into the piece of driftwood. ("Destination Unknown") When the driftwood testing causes an earthquake and the start of a volcanic eruption, Davis helps Saanvi sneak the piece out of the lab and go upstate, where she drops it into the lava to stop the eruption.("Compass Calibration") He also helps in their plan to get rid of the tailfin when testing causes burns on Cal. ("Mayday (Part 1)")

Troy is later one of the researchers at the government black site run by Gupta. Troy comes up with a theory that they can use an EMP to Interrupt the God Frequency and stop the apocalyptic volcanic eruptions. However, Gupta wants Saanvi and Troy to test it out on the black box which will wipe out all of their data. Instead, Saanvi convinces Troy to use the EMP to knock out the facility's security systems for an escape. The EMP also allows Ben, Cal and Vance, who were led to the facility by a Calling, to sneak in. With the guards closing in, Troy stays behind and allows himself to be caught as a distraction for the others to get away. Saanvi subsequently tests Troy's theory by using an EMP on the comatose passengers, successfully waking them up. ("Lift/Drag")
